June 1st and 2nd

Our Charter season has kicked off with a blast. Wouldn't be possible with out all these great people choosing to fish with Salt Treated! Many days catching well into the double digits of Cobia. Already a strong showing of Macks to top of the box. Which was also good alternative to bring some meat home for the crews that fished with us before the Cobia harvest season opened.

June 1st opening day Ken, Nolan and I fished the East Coast Cobia Championship, tough conditions better part of the morning chumming through terrible lighting storms but fortunately cleared up beautiful in the afternoon. We saw a pile of fish several nice size keeper fish we just couldn't find the one we needed to compete in the tournament. We caught the biggest fish we saw that was around 35lbs. Congrats to all winning teams especially Tripp Seed taking 1st with a studbolt 74lber I personally couldn't think of a more deserving person to win. #teamangela

June 2: struggle bus... terribly bad luck right out the gate hooked a 50-55lber had it on for awhile and hooked pulled. Unfortunately that hook pulling seemed to be our talk of the day. Pulled a total of 6 Cobia off and I'd say 3 of them were over 50inches. One of those day I wanted to pull my hair out! We stuck it out and fished hard landed 7 Cobia total keeping our limit biggest being 46 inches and mess of Macks up to 25inches. Again, thanks to all the great clients that come fishing with us.
